Colin Wright Organist, Teacher and Lecturer in Music, Examiner and Accompanist ![]() Colin Wright Colin Wright has built a well-founded reputation in the East Riding of Yorkshire, his home for over 30 years, as a fine practising musician. For many years he has been involved in a wide variety of musical activities as organ recitalist, piano or organ accompanist, with frequent appearances in concert, as well as conductor and organist at innumerable church services across the area alongside his work as lecturer / teacher and examiner in music. Since 1996, Colin Wright has held the post of Assistant Organist at Beverley Minster and from 1997 has been a part-time member of the music staff at Hull University. He has since 1999 also acted as Examiner for Trinity College, London, having examined candidates in music up to diploma level in England and several other countries including Australia and New Zealand. His recently recorded second cd of organ music at Beverley Minster is available from Priory Records and his compositions, though at present unpublished, comprise a small number of short works mostly for choir and organ. |
